Being fired from your first job isn’t necessarily a predictor of future failures.

Jackman’s brief stint at 7-Eleven didn’t end on a high note, yet it was a formative experience for him.
“When you first go into the workforce, your first job, whether it’s 7-Eleven or whatever it is, you realize that you’ve got a role to play—a responsibility—and people are expecting you to fulfill it,” he said.
“I was left with this feeling that I could and would make it my own way, that I could do a lot with my hands, my feet and my brain.”
