Pancake Tuesday (aka Shrove Tuesday) has been around since the 1400s, back when people whipped up pancakes to use leftover eggs, milk and butter before Lent. Fast-forward to today and it’s basically the world’s most delicious holiday. And honestly… we’re not complaining!

Pancake Tips From the Pros
- Burning the first one? Congratulations, that’s the practice pancake.
- If it’s raw in the middle: turn the heat down.
- Medium heat = Golden perfection
- High heat = Chaos
Mentor Recipes You HAVE to Try
Vanessa’s Classic Stack
Fluffy, café-style pancakes at home:
- 4 cups self‑raising flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 3.5 cups milk (buttermilk if you’re fancy)
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- Butter for the pan
- Mix
- Cook
- Drown in fruit and maple syrup
- Vibes: immaculate.
Ray’s Savoury Power Cakes
For the ones who want breakfast AND gains. Start with a store pancake mix, then add:
- Cured meats
- Mushrooms
- Julienne potato
- Cheese
Cook as usual and finish with sour cream and chilli oil. Elite levels unlocked!
Veronica’s Protein Boost Pancakes
Your new breakfast–gym combo:
- ½ packet pancake mix
- Equal amount of whey protein
- Cook normally, drizzle sugar‑free maple syrup, and enjoy.
